Recommended tools for installation

Ensure all tools are used safely and correctly and appropriate safety wear such as gloves, eye and ear protection are used

Conditioning and storage

Spapanel can be installed by any competent DIY person or licensed trades person. If designed, used and installed in accordance with the Spapanel installation instructions and the Spapanel BRANZ appraisal (No. 906,2016)

Easy Steps to Install Spapanel

Step 1: Setup Framing
Installing directly onto new or existing framework
Framing requirements:
Place vertical uprights at 450mm or 600mm centres and cross noggins at 600mm centres
Step 2: Waterproofing
Finishing at the base of the panel

Waterproofing requirements:
Application of waterproofing as per the detail, with minimum of 90mm waterproofing on baseplate
Step 3: Hydro-Lock
Fixing Hydrolock® tongue & groove panels

Installing Hydro-lock
Installing hydro-lock, starting panels at approximately 45 degrees. Ensure the tongue is fully inserted in the groove before snapping back to the wall.
Step 4: Finish it Off
Finishing and Polishing Touches

Continue to measure and cut with precision, as you keep completing your bathroom walls. If it takes you longer than expected don’t stress, it is your first time, so get it right.
